Allen County Community College (ACCC)


Allen County Community College was established in 1923 under the jurisdiction of the Board of Education of Iola Public Schools. Initially, it was named as the Iola Junior College and it was set up as an extension of the high school. Later it emerged as the countywide community college and on July 1st 1965 it came to known as Allen County Community Junior College. The school earned its official name Allen County Community College in 1980. With its mission of providing quality education by creating an ambience which is conducive to learning and for years ACCC has been committed to its dreams of providing wide range of educational programs to all deserving students at an affordable rate. ACCC makes every possible effort to provide Financial Aids to its students in the form of loans, grants and scholarships and more than 75% of its full-time students receive some type of financial assistance from the college.

Course Details :

Apart from offering Degree programs in various fields of study, ACCC also offers the facility of online courses and distance learning to its students. Part-time study programs are also available for students who have to balance study along with work. ACCC also provides extra attention to its students by providing classes on weekends and also by providing career counseling. The programs offered at ACCC are:

    Admission Procedures :

    Allan County Community College (ACCC) follows an open admission policy and one can apply online by simply filling up the application. However one needs to submit the complete application form along with correct information in order to be considered eligible for admission.

    Accommodation Facilities :

    Allan County Community College provides campus housing facilities to its students as it believes in imparting complete education to its students and so considers residential living to be an integral part of this complete educational plan. ACCC has three residential halls which offer total accommodation facilities to about 250 students. A 96-bed residence hall (Horton Hall) was opened for occupancy on August 25, 1969. A 56-bed residence hall (Winter Hall) was built in August 1983 to accommodate the growing number of students and the Masterson Hall which was opened in August 2007 has also a capacity for about 56 students.
