Blackburn College was founded in 1837. The campus is situated in Carlinville, Illinois, United States. Blackburn College is a four year coeducational private liberal arts college. The college is one of the seven work colleges in United States. The college was built with the aim to provide higher education to students with good academic records but low financial means. So, low cost has always been a priority. As such the college offers education at very low cost. The college offers students manage work programs. This enhances the leadership quality of the students. All resident students are required to work. Each of the students is given tuition discounts for the hours they work. The college has very impressive athletic teams. The students are involved in various activities like clubs, sports etc.
