Capital Community College


Capital Community College, whose roots dates to 1967, was established in 1992. Capital Community College is a community college situated in Hartford, Connecticut. Capital Community College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in 2007. The college enrolled 3661 students in spring 2007. There are 231 faculty of which 66 are full time instructors and 147 are part time faculty. The college offers facilities like cafeteria, Tech prep programs, Cooperative education, Alumni Association, Career Development Services, Child Development Center, Work Study Programs, Communication Media Center, College learning Center, Center for Student development, Academic Advising, Various clubs and communities. The students are also provided various modes of financial aids. The financial aids are provided in forms of Scholarships, Loans, grants, Jobs etc, based on the eligibility of the students. The students will have to be academically strong and will have to provide with good performance.

Course Details:

Capital Community College offers 34 associate degree programs and 27 certificate programs on site and offline. Capital Community College offers Associate Degree in Nursing, the largest degree for nursing program in the State of Connecticut. The college offers programs in the following areas,

    Admission Procedures:

    For admission, the students will need to visit the campus to get the necessary forms. During certain periods of the year the students may also apply online. The placement tests are taken to ensure that the students are enrolled into appropriate courses, in accordance to their skills and talents. The tests are conducted after students have applied for admission. The college website has the test details and the sample placement tests. The candidates opting for associate degree and certificate programs must be0 high school graduates. The non refundable application fee is $20. The foreign students will have to produce their TOEFL marks.
