Coleman College


Set up in 1963, Coleman College has come a long way in empowering students for the digital age. Now known as Coleman University, the college provides a wide variety of courses to not only high school graduates, but also professionals, retired military men and international students. They regularly place their students in any of the 1500 companies in the area. Evening and distance education courses are also available so that students can complete general education requirements towards an associate or bachelors degree. It also offers Masters degrees in Information Systems Management, Business Technology and Management and has an MBA program. There are two campuses that are run by the college---one at San Diego and another at San Marcos.

Course Details:

Coleman College offers a wide array of courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. Undergraduate programs are available on the following:

  • Information Systems
  • Graphic Design
  • Network Security
  • Computer Networking.

    Graduate level courses in Information Systems Management,Business Technology and Management are available. A Master of Business Administration is also available.

    Admission Procedures:

    Undergraduate applicants must have an high school diploma/degree from an accredited school or a valid GED score. The applicant needs to pass a test on logic and mathematics and an interview with a member of the Admissions department. International students must additionally show that they were educated at a school where English was the primary mode of instruction or show a TOEFL score. For Masters courses, a bachelors degree in computer science is required. If this is not available, then any degree with 4 years of work experience in computer field or coursework completed from undergraduate core program at Coleman in any of the three information technology disciplines at Coleman University is required.

    Accommodation Facilities:

    Coleman College does not provide housing facilities. This is a community college and students find accommodation in apartments and rooms that they rent nearby.
