Columbus Technical College


Columbus Technical College was founded in 1961. It was operating as the Columbus Area Vocational Technical School. In 1966 it merged with Muscogee Area Vocational -Technical School. In 1972 it got accreditation from Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. In 1985, August it was named as Columbus Technical Institute, so that it can be a division of a statewide network of technical schools. In 2000 it finally got its present name. Columbus Technical College will meet the demands of the community's workforce by training more and more students for the industry. It is part of the Technical College System of Georgia. Course Details:

Columbus Technical College offers Associate degrees as well as diplomas and technical certificates of credit. Columbus Technical offers continuing educational facilities as well.   • Admission Procedures:

    When students are applying for admissions at Columbus Technical College they need to be at least 16 years of age. An application fee of $25 has to be paid along with $35 Technological & Instructional Support Fee. Students are to submit COMPASS, SAT or ACT scores. Students will be notified of their acceptance by mail. International students should provide all necessary documents evaluated, along with a financial support form.     Accommodation Facilities:

    Students are not provided on-campus housing and so it is advised that they look for off-campus housing near the campus of Columbus Technical College. Most of the time one is bound to find apartments and hostels which can be taken on rent. Off-campus living can be quite an exciting journey for the student except the fact that they have to commute daily to the college.
