Connecticut Culinary Institute was founded in 1987. The main campus is situated in Hartford, Connecticut. The college has a branch in Sufflield, Connecticut. Connecticut Culinary Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). The Advanced Culinary Arts Program is accredited by The American Culinary Federation Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFF). The institute has the approval of Connecticut Commission of Higher Education and Veterans Administration for the training of veterans. The students get the fantastic opportunity of doing a paid externship programs at very reputed organization. The students can work as saute chef, pastry chef, catering chef and other positions.
Advanced Culinary Arts program: it is a 41.9 credit hour program. The program consists of a balance of theory, lecture, demonstration and practical classes of the culinary art. The day time program consists of four 15 week semesters. The student experience a 40 weeks of on site education and then they undergo 20 weeks of paid externships. The evening program consists of six 15 week semesters.
Professional Pastry and baking program: This is a 41.9 credit hour diploma program.
Advanced Italian Culinary Arts program: this is a 58.7 credit hour program. The students will have to attend five semester of study. In the fourth semester the students get the opportunity of studying in Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners (ICIF).

For admission in Connecticut Culinary College, the student needs to satisfy certain conditions. The students will have to have an interview with the admission representative, then they will have to take a pre entrance test. The international students will need to provide with TOEFL score.
Connecticut Culinary College does not offer students housing, however arrangement being made with the properties, dorm style rooms are provided to the students. The housing is in the same building so the students get the advantage of not having to travel. Facilities like laundry, wireless access, games are provided. The students are also provided with a fitness room complete with all the equipments.
