Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences

Introduction:

Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences is governed by the Board of Directors, via the Board's President, other officers and a number of Committees. Alumni, NIH personnel and persons at nearby scientific institutions who are very much interested in the academic objectives and activities of FAES and would like to take part can obtain membership of the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences. Membership can be obtained only after the approval of the application by the Membership Committee and with the payment of annual dues.

Course Details:

The Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences Graduate School at NIH offers about 200 courses every year at the undergraduate as well as graduate levels. The courses offered are certified by the Maryland Higher Education Committee and accepted for credit by most universities. The course offerings of the Graduate School are open to the NIH community members other federal employees and the general public.

Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences offers courses related to career and continuing education. The majority of the courses offered by Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences Graduate School are in the biomedical field. Other course offerings are in the areas of physical and behavioral sciences, English and foreign language studies.
