Georgia Baptist College Of Nursing was established in 1989. It is a coeducational institution with 337 students strength. The college offers the combination of excellent classroom and laboratory instructions with extensive clinical experience. The nursing programs at the bachelor's and master's level are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The college is approved by Georgia Board of Nursing. The college offers the flexibility of online and onsite instructions. The college also offers PH.D programs in Nursing. The students can design their own coursework and conduct the research based on one of the three areas of concentration: ethics, clinical scholarships or education. The nursing scholars will be prepared to develop advanced nursing expertise in the application of theories and conceptual models to nursing education, practice and research. They are expected to advance nursing knowledge.
The BSN Prelicensure Track: this program has been designed for the students who do not have a nursing license. This program will prepare them for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). This is a eight semester prelicensure curriculum plan. This program will require fifty seven hours of general education core. These courses create a support foundation for professional nursing practice.
The RN-BSN Track: this program is meant for the registered nurses who have graduated from an accredited associate degree or diploma nursing program.
The Georgia Baptist College Of Nursing offers a course in bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with two tracks.
The college also offers two masters program, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Educator. Clinical Nurse Specialist prepares the students for multiple settings, so that they can provide leadership when situation demands. Nurse educator program is meant for the health care professional. These professionals are trained to pass their knowledge, skills, experience and passion for nursing.
