Harvard School of Dental Medicine was established in the year in 1867. The school has close affiliation with Harvard Medical School. The campus is located in the Longwood Medical Area in Boston, MA. Harvard School of Dental Medicine is one of the graduate schools of Harvard University. Course Details:

Harvard School of Dental Medicine offers a wide range of courses in the field of dental science. The school has several academic departments:

  • Restorative Dentistry and biomaterials sciences

These programs combine advanced clinical and biomedical research training for students planning careers in academic dentistry. The school also offers Doctor of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology program; joint-degree programs combining advanced clinical training and research in health-care systems, health policy or biomedical sciences and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/MD/General Surgery program.

    Admission Procedures:

    The students opting for admission in Harvard School of Dental Medicine will have to apply through the Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS), operated by the American Dental Education Association (ADEA). The students will have to provide a complete application which consists of the AADSAS application, letter(s) of recommendation, college transcript(s), official DAT scores and the application processing fee. The application fee is $75. Interviews are also considered important for admission process.

    Accommodation facilities:

    Harvard School of Dental Medicine offers excellent housing options. Housing facility is guaranteed for the first year dental students. There are limited housing facilities for the married students. There are no parking facilities for the students. The students may also opt to live off campus. The students may find maintaining a car costly however; the students can easily opt for public transportation. The school offers several bike racks to the students.
