Lake Michigan College


Lake Michigan College is not just one of the most prominent higher learning institutions in the region; it is also among the largest employers in the state. Established in 1946, this two-year community college offers the students more than a few degrees and programs in assorted areas of study. Lake Michigan College is also known as LMC, and other than the main campus in Benton Township, it has regional campuses in Benton Harbor, South Haven and Bertrand Crossing (Niles). As the main campus is positioned adjacent to Interstate 94 and the US-31 freeway, the college is easily accessible from all part of the state. Total enrollment of Lake Michigan College is more than 3,700 students and highest degree offered by LMC is associate's degree.

Course Details:

Although a number of programs are taught at Lake Michigan College, courses in music and science are highly popular. But, all campuses do not offer all the courses. Students can pursue degree programs at Benton Harbor campus of LMC on the following majors--

    Admission Procedures:

    Lake Michigan College follows open admission policy and it is one of the most attractive features of this institution. For admission, prospective students have to submit completed admission. Form could also be submitted online. Then the students have to take assessment tests. Applicants who have an associate's degree or higher, or taken the ACT or SAT test, don't need to sit for this test.

    Accommodation Facilities:

    Lake Michigan College does not belong to those colleges that offer housing facilities to the students. For accommodation, the students can find various options in the form of apartments and hotels near the campus. Students have plenty of opportunities to splurge their leisure.
