Macmurray College was established in the year 1846. A group of Methodist Clergymen founded the college naming The Illinois Conference Female Academy. Until 1955, the college was completely a women's college. The college became a co educational institute in the year of 1969.From the very first day its aim is to give their students a high quality study in an academic atmosphere. Apart from Associates and Bachelor degrees, the college also offers education for the deaf. A student can also pursue courses on criminal justice.
