National Labor College

Introduction:

The uniqueness of National Labor College (NLC) lies in its diverse blend of curriculum that constitutes traditional programs, residential courses, virtual learning and hybrid courses. The undergraduate degree program of the college is highly sought after among unionists in US and Canada. The students attend a weeklong residential stay each term while pursuing the program. The National Labor College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and has gradually evolved from a technical training center to a reputed degree granting college.

The mission of NLC is to continuously serve the cause of labor movement and the institution has been dedicated to its mission since 1969. Earlier the college was known as the George Meany Center for Labor Studies-the National Labor College (GMC-NLC). The National Labor College (NLC) also strives to expand its facilities. Introducing residential services and a seventy thousand square foot facility at the Lane Kirkland Center with classrooms, administrative facilities, dining halls and distance learning centers bear testimony to that.
