The Northern Baptist Theological Seminary was established in 1913 by the congregation of Second Baptist Church of Chicago. The institute offers non degree and degree programs in Christian studies. During the 1960s the institute moved into its Lombard campus where it currently operates. Campuses are also located in Elgin, Rockford and Lawndale was where the institute operated earlier. Transcripts of previous academic achievements, an autobiographical statement, three reference letters, a letter from a church and submission of non refundable application fee has to be rendered to seek admission for Master degree programs at the Northern.
