Northwest Florida State College


Established in 1963, Northwest Florida State College was primarily known as Okaloosa-Walton Junior College. Then the campus was set in Valparaiso, Florida. The college was renamed as Okaloosa-Walton Community College in 1988. In 2003 when it gained the four-year status, it was again renamed as Okaloosa-Walton College. Finally in June 2008, this U.S higher learning institution was designated as one of nine state colleges in Florida and has adopted the name as Northwest Florida State College. Northwest Florida State College has campuses in locations such as

Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Northwest Florida State College is part of community college system of Florida.

  • NWFSC Admission Procedures:

    Northwest Florida State College maintains an open-door admissions policy. Students with a high school diploma or GED certificate are eligible to apply. Students are suggested to contact the Office of Enrollment Services prior to admission. Adults who don't have a high school diploma may join in Adult Basic Education.

    NWFSC Accommodation Facilities:

    On campus housing facilities are not available at Northwest Florida State College. Students can find numerous off-campus accommodations in the neighboring areas of the campus.
