Pinellas Technical Education Centers are a leader in providing technical education in Florida. It has two campuses in Florida. One is situated in St. Petersburg and the other is in Clearwater. The institution's Clearwater campus was originally known as Technical Education center and Pinellas Vocational Technical Institute. In the state of Florida it was the first technical education center which was designated as a postsecondary area technical center. The campus is of 40 acres and currently has sixteen buildings. The original building was renovated to meet the demands of the present time. Both the campuses of Pinellas are full-service schools which provide quality educational services. The Clearwater campus provides many technical programs and short -term training programs. The center is a public co-educational institution. The mission of the Pinellas Technical Education Center is to provide students the scope of developing skilled labor to meet the ever increasing demands of the needs of the industry.

Students are offered different types of programs at the Clearwater campus. Some of the programs are conducted in the evening. Pinellas offers online classes and distance learning opportunities. Programs that are offered at the Pinellas-Clearwater campus are:

Students who are applying for admission at Pinellas should be of 16 years and not admitted at any other institution. Students are to register on a full time basis. On special consideration students are admitted on half-time basis. Students meeting all requirements will be only eligible to be admitted at the institution. A high school diploma is required for the admissions procedure at Pinellas-Clearwater.
Students will have to look for -off-campus housing options near Pinellas-Clearwater as there is no on-campus accommodation facility. Generally there are apartments which are taken on rent by the students.
