Ridley Lowell Business and Technical Institute was established in 1850 in its flagship campus at Binghamton. The business school offers professional training courses in fields like Electrical Systems Technician, Computerized Accounting, Medical Billing and Coding, Legal Emphasis, Word Processing to name a few. The institute boasts of another two campuses, one in New London and the other in Poughkeepsie. This 600 hours course offers students a comprehensive training in office skills, communication and other word processing office positions.
This 1044 hours course, prepares a student to opt for the National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
This 600 hours course makes the students familiar with legal terms to gain exposure with legal machine transcription.
Medical Billing and Coding Specialist:
This 900 hours course helps the student o handle aspects of medical billing and legal issues of the profession.
Networking & Computer Technical Support:
This 900 hours course provides the students practical knowledge about computer operating, software applications, hardware maintenance and visual programming.
Electrical Systems Technician:
This 900 hours course builds the students to seek entry level positions with various industry houses as an electrician or electrician apprentice.
Information Systems Specialist:
This 900 hours course develops the proficiency of the student in handling the legal machine transcription and as medical secretaries in automated offices. The course has a Legal Emphasis and Medical Emphasis division.
Individuals with a high school diploma and above 17 years can seek admission at the Ridley Lowell Business and Technical Institute. A personal interview along with the formal application is part of the admission process. Each term begins when the stream of study has sufficient enrollment. Pell grants and Federal aid is provided to eligible students.
The institute doesn't provide student housing facility to students as the day programs have a duration of nine to twelve months while evening programs last for eleven months.
