Rochester Community and Technical College


Established in 1915, Rochester Community and Technical College or RCTC is not just Minnesota's oldest, rather it belongs to the oldest - original community colleges in the U.S. Serving some 7,500 students in credit courses and approximately 3,000 in noncredit courses, RCTC is a renowned coeducational, community college and is placed in the city of Rochester, Minnesota. The college has been renamed quite a few times and finally it was renamed in 1996. There are several departments in this college such as, Psychology, English as a Second Language, Business Programs, World Languages, Nursing, Art, Science and Music.

Course Details:

Courses at Rochester Community and Technical College are wide and cover various fields of learning. Students are awarded with degrees such as, Associate in Science, Associate in Arts, Associate in Applied Science as well as diplomas and certificates. Some of the largest programs offered by Lake Superior College include business, digital arts, liberal arts, nursing and law enforcement. In addition, at RCTC you will find a number of unique programs in horticulture technology, dental hygiene, veterinary technology, equine science, surgical technology, human services and radiography.     Rochester Community and Technical College follows open admission policy, and this feature draws a large number of students every year.     Accommodation facilities:

    Rochester Community and Technical College is a commuter college and thus there is no campus housing facilities. Campus life at RCTC is outstanding and the students take part in countless activities.
