Saint Joseph College (SJC) is an independent Roman Catholic College with a history that dates back to 1932 and a campus spread across 84 acres. The college was founded by the Sisters of Mercy as a Woman's college providing an outstanding academic experience to its students. The widespread campus is the address for the The Women's College, The Gengras Center and the coeducational Prime Time Program and Graduate School. The college is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc. SJC offers Honors, undergraduate, graduate and even online programs. The academic divisions at the Saint Joseph College (SJC) are humanities, education, nursing, natural science and mathematics and social science. The various departments of the divisions are listed here:


  • Departments in languages, English and communications, philosophy, religious studies and fine and performing arts.


  • has departments offering courses in counselor education, marriage and family therapy, and education.


  • offers graduate and undergraduate programs and clinical practices in the region. B.S./M.S. Accelerated dual degree program is also provided to registered nurses.

    Natural Science & Mathematics Division:

    Admission Procedures:

    Undergraduate students can apply for admission at SJC with a record of previous education, and also diplomas and certificates earned. Application can also be made online. TOEFL scores and national examination results have to be submitted. Transcript of college or university and two letters of recommendation have to be submitted.

    Accommodation facilities:

    SJC provides student housing for full time undergraduate women. The college has five residential halls with staffs who guide the students. The college fosters the spirit of a fully functional residential community of students.
