United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities

Introduction:

United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities situated at New Brighton in Minnesota is a theological education provider in the United States. This ecumenical graduate school of United Church of Christ was established in the year 1960. Mission House Seminary of Plymouth in Wisconsin and Yankton School of Theology in Yankton, South Dakota merged to form this school. Bigelow Chapel has been consecrated by UTS in the year 2004 within the campus. It acts as a venue for lectures and convocations.

Course Details:

United Theological Seminary or UTS offers degrees in Master of Arts, Master of Arts in Religious Leadership, Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry. Since the nature of this institution is ecumenical, students are educated for ministry. Ecumenical nature means that the mission of the institution is to promote unity among churches and religions. The school also offers certificate in Leadership towards Racial Justice proving that it strongly respects racial justice. You can earn a certificate in Theological and religious Studies and Diploma in Advanced Theological Studies.

    Admission Procedures:

    A Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution is required for admission in United Theological Seminary. You need to keep a grade of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. Analytic power, reflective thinking mind and writing skill are also needed. Adults who have significant vocational experience can pursue Master's in Divinity or diploma courses in Indian Ministries programs if they can prove their exposure and credential in liberal arts and social sciences.

    Accommodation facilities:

    Student housing facility is available at UTS. Huenemann House is the apartment building with 21 units. The building houses two lounges and two study rooms. One of the study rooms has been equipped with computer, internet connection, printer, storage space and laundry facilities. You can also opt for affordable off-campus housing facilities.
