The W F Kaynor Regional Technical School is a school operating under the Connecticut State Department of Education. The school has a wide range of adult training programs. The school has recognized the fact that a large number of adult population near to it want to be educated in career-oriented courses. Hence the adult education program has been set up to include a number of programs geared towards making students more employable. The school was set up in 1953 and is currently has a 158000 square feet campus. Many of the graduates who attend normal classes at this institute return to attend the Adult Education program to increase their chances of employment.

The Adult Bilingual program at W F Kaynor Regional Technical School - Adult Program offers evening classes in two disciplines:
Certified Nurse Aid . This course is known as Bilingual Health Care Training and is available in English and Spanish.
Basic Office Technology. This course is also available in English and Spanish.

The coursework is 36 credit hours and typically it takes 12 weeks to complete.
The licensed practical nurse program at W F Kaynor Regional Technical School - Adult Program is a three semester program offered in conjunction with the Connecticut Technical High School System. This program is only open to post-graduates.
All apprentice courses are open to registered apprentices with valid state apprentice ID of Connecticut from their current employer. Non apprentices can also attend the courses. However the tuition fees for non-apprentices are higher. The licensed Practical Nurse Program is only open to post-graduates. Classes can only start if there are 10 or more students enrolled for the program. Registration typically happens in January at timings announced on the website. Candidates seeking to apply to the Bilingual Health care training at W F Kaynor Regional Technical School-Adult program must first pass a placement test and must have a social security number. They must also undergo a thorough medical examination,TB skin tests, performance skills assessment and technical abilities required to complete the course ( like bending, visual acuity,etc.)
