Wilbur Wright College was earlier known as Wright Junior College. It is a public institution established in the year 1934. It is a community college founded by the Chicago Board of Education. It was designed to serve the needs of the post secondary educational needs of Chicago citizens. Wilbur Wright College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, Illinois Community College Board and the Illinois Office of Education Department of Adult, Vocational and technical Education has approved Wilbur Wright College. The mission of the college is to create a learning environment of higher education offering students of varied backgrounds.
