Albany State University


Established in the year of 1903, Albany State University is considered among the best in the U.S. This four-year, state-supported, historically black university (HBCU) was started as the Albany Bible and Manual Training Institution for the African Americans in southwest Georgia. But now ASU serves more than 4,000 students with excellent programs in business and public administration, criminal justice, science as well as teacher education and nursing. This Georgia University was renamed as Albany State University in 1996. Nestled in the stunning city of Albany, GA, Albany State University covers 206-acres of total area.   • ASU Admission Procedures:

    The admissions department at Albany State does not maintain open admission policy. High school graduates, transfer students, international students, and transient students can apply for admission. Sat score is crucial for admission. Interested applicants can visit the campus.

    ASU Accommodation Facilities:

    Campus housing facilities are offered to the students at Albany State University. Out of 3,545 (full-time) students some 1,775 can avail accommodation facilities on campus.
