Augusta State University


Established on January 27, 1785, Augusta State University is the oldest academic establishment in Georgia. This is a public, four-year university that serves more than 6,500 students who represent about 60 countries. Augusta State University has rich history. The college has become a part of the University System of Georgia in 1958, and renamed as Augusta College. In 1963, this college attained four-year status and in 1996, Augusta College has finally renamed as Augusta State University or ASU. Perfectly intermingled with tradition and innovation, ASU offers state-of-the-art educational opportunities to its students.   • ASU Admission Procedures:

    Open admission policy is not maintained at Augusta State University. Appropriately completed and signed application with a $20 nonrefundable application fee and proof of immunization, ACT or SAT scores and official high school transcripts or GED scores have to be submitted. Minimum 2.0 high school grade point average is mandatory.

    ASU Accommodation Facilities:

    Campus housing facilities are available at Augusta State University at an average cost of some $7266 per year. University Village is the new campus housing where two- and four-bedroom apartment-style units are available on rent for about $470 and $410 respectively, per month, per person. Facilities include intrusion alarms, local phone, high-speed Internet access and many more.
