Brigham Young University- Idaho

Introduction:

The Brigham Young University-Idaho has a history that dates back to 1923, when the institution was known as Ricks College. By the later half of the twentieth century the institution had turned into the largest private junior college of the nation. The essence of BYU-Idaho's character is a blend of service, innovation, improvement and sacrifice. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, affiliates the Brigham Young University. The academic experience of the students at BYU-Idaho is also laden with faith and dedication. BYU-Idaho, is continuously aiming to spread its resources among the students by making the offerings of the institution affordable and coupling traditional liberal arts with professional skills. The Brigham Young University-Idaho has bachelors and associate degree programs that are offered through six colleges. The mission of BYU-Idaho is to mold its students for able leadership at the church, home and workplace.



Course Details:

The diverse programs offered at Brigham Young University-Idaho, is available to the students through six colleges: Physical Sciences and Engineering, Education and Human Development, Business and Communication, Agriculture and Life Sciences, Performing and Visual Arts and Language and Letters. Brief highlights of some of the courses available at BYU- Idaho are:

  • College of Agriculture and Life Sciences- health science, horticulture, nursing, biology, agri business
  • College of Physical Sciences and Engineering- physics, mathematics, geology, mechanical engineering, chemistry, automotive technology etc.
  • College of Education and Human Development-psychology, teacher education, sociology and social work etc.
  • College of Performing and Visual Arts- art, dance, theatre, music, interior design
  • College of Business and Communication-accounting, economics, computer information technology etc.
  • College of Language and Letters-English, history, foreign language etc.



    Admission Procedures:

    Online applications for admission can be made at Brigham Young University-Idaho. A student needs to choose between the various schools. International students need to submit the TOEFL score. Previous record of educational credentials has to be submitted.

    Accommodation facilities:

    Brigham Young University-Idaho provides housing facility for the students. Single housing, family and community housing and residing through approved housing is possible at BYU-Idaho. Usually all single students are required to reside at the BYU-Idaho approved housing.
