Florida Gulf Coast University

Introduction:

Florida Gulf Coast University is a public four year university situated in Fort Myers, Florida. It was established in the year 1991. It is also popularly known as FGCU or Florida Gulf Coast. It is a young co-educational University. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Its classes first started in the year 1997. Besides the campus in Fort Myers there are three other satellite campuses. FGCU has innovative programs, which helps in the development of the students. The faculty is excellent and provides high quality education to the students. FGCU is a member of the State University System. It meets the demands of the educational needs of the Southwest Florida people.



Course Details:

  • Admission Procedures:

    Online application forms are available if a candidate is applying for admission at FGCU. Students have to provide certain documents along with the form. They are:

  • High school diploma
  • ACT/SAT scores
  • TOEFL scores (especially for International students)

    Accommodation Facilities:

    Everglades Hall and Biscayne Hall are the residence halls where the students will live on campus. Student's can live and enjoy the on-campus life with his/her friends. The applicant has to fill in a separate housing agreement along with an application fee of $50. Students are encouraged to apply early for housing as there is a great demand and there is limited space. If students at FGCU do not opt for on-campus housing, they can live off-campus too as FGCU offers assistance in finding apartments for the students.
