Florida State University


Known as one of the most prestigious higher learning institutions in the state, Florida State University offers more than 300 programs of study, including various professional programs. This institution was established in the year of 1851 and is positioned in Tallahassee which is the capital of Florida. This space-grant and sea-grant public university is a flagship university in the Florida State University System. FSU is a complete doctoral research university. 16 separate colleges and 39 centers are run by prestigious Florida State University. Course Details:

Wide and varied courses are offered by Florida State University. Seventeen academic divisions are run by FSU. These include the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Music, Information, and Social Science and Social Work. Schools of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Business, Law, Medicine, Film, Nursing, Theatre, and Visual Arts and Dance are also part of the University, Communication, Education, Engineering and Human Sciences.

Graduate programs also include professional courses in law and medicine. At Florida State University the students are also offered Post-master's specialist degrees (Ed.S.) in various fields. Dual degree programs could be attended in fields like social work, public administration as well as urban planning and law.

Admission Procedures:

Florida State University does not offer open admission policy. Students with at least a B+ average in their academic subjects as well as a collective score of at least 1100 on the SAT I or a combined score of 24 on the ACT are eligible to apply. Out-of-state students with good academic background are also allowed to study. All transfer applicants must pass the foreign language requirement test.
