Heed University School Of Theology

Introduction

Heed University School Of Theology was founded in 1970.It is a non profit educational institution situated in the State of Florida. Florida Agricultural And Mechanical University is accredited by the Florida State board of Independent Colleges and Universities. It is affiliated by Old Catholic Church in North America (OCCNA). The institution prepares the students for missionary, ministerial or religious educational purpose. The institute does not offer any placement assistance. However, the students will be furnished with contact numbers of the appropriate OCCNA or other bishop. Appropriate credits can be transferred from other recognized seminaries; transfer of credits from this institution to other institution depends on the receiving institution. The ordination is conferred by bishops and churches, and not by seminaries or universities. The students interested in pursuing ordination to the ministry or priesthood will have to contact the religious denomination in which they seek to serve before undertaking a theological education program at any institution.



Course Details:

All the programs are so designed that they may be completed on a correspondence or guided study basis. There are no requirements for class room attendance or residency. Regular contact is maintained between students and the faculty members. The institute offers degree programs in the following areas,

  • Master of Theological Studies
  • Master of Divinity
  • Master of Theology
  • Doctor of Ministry




  • Admission Procedures

    The students are admitted all round the year and they may graduate any time of the year. There are no semester or any deadlines .All the programs are individualized and the student can work at his own pace. The only dead line is that there should be a minimum of nine months of time gap between matriculation and graduation. Application requires a fee of $45, resume, official transcripts of the previous academic records and three letters of reference. In order to pursue Master of Theological Studies, the student need to have a bachelor degree, they will have to complete sixty (60) credits beyond B.A or B.S, including a thesis in the area of concentration. For the Master of Divinity the student will also have to complete Bachelor's and have to have 90 credits beyond B.A or B.S.
