North Georgia College & State University is a four year public university, established in the year 1873. It is located in Dahlonega, Georgia. It was established as North Georgia Agricultural College. It is one of the oldest co-educational institutes. The institution was earlier the agricultural branch of the University of Georgia. In 1929 its name was changed to North Georgia College. The campus of NGCSU is between the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Each student gets personal attention by the professors at NGCSU. It is the first university which has admitted women students. Quality education with practical experiences helps the students to succeed in life. Near the campus it has places for hiking fishing, and canoeing. Students love this as they enjoy these outdoor activities.

Students can apply for admission at NGCSU through the online forms. Freshmen should be below the age of 23. Application status can be checked online. Deadlines should be met, so that one does not miss the opportunity of applying at NGCSU. Students can apply for financial aid. International students will have to provide information on Visa, and health insurance. Students have to provide GED scores, along with SAT/ACT scores. International students have to provide TOEFL scores, bank statements and immunization records.

On-campus accommodation makes life for the students very easy and convenient in many ways. The rates are affordable and students are provided with meal plans also. Off-campus living is another option which the students can try but the accommodation has to be located by themselves. Apartments and lodges are some of the options that the students can try.
