The state of Illinois is comprised of a number of prestigious higher learning institutions and Northeastern Illinois University is considered as among the best. Came into existence in 1867 as Cook County's first teachers' college, this university is positioned in the beautiful North Park community area of Chicago, Illinois. Northeastern Illinois University is ethnically diverse and is also known as NEIU. The main campus of NEIU covers 67-acre area where more than 12,000 commuter students are served by over 1,500 staff members. At Northeastern Illinois University, undergraduate programs are offered in College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Management and College of Education, while graduate programs are taught in Graduate College of Arts and Sciences, Graduate College of Business and Management and Graduate College of Education.

    Admission Procedures

    Open admission policy is not followed at Northeastern Illinois University. Students who are 18 years of age or older and GED qualified are eligible to apply. Northeastern Illinois University admission department selects the students from the qualified applicants. SAT and ACT scores are also important for admission.

    Accommodation Facilities :

    At Northeastern Illinois University, campus housing facilities are not available for the students. However, the students can easily find wide variety of accommodation facilities near the campus of NEIU. Students can take part in numerous spare time activities.
