Valdosta State University


Established in the year of 1906, Valdosta State University or VSU is a member of the University System of Georgia. The institution is positioned in the city of Valdosta which is in South Georgia, just off of Interstate 75. The city is just 20 miles (32 km) from the Florida state line, while the cities of Tallahassee, Macon, and Jacksonville are two hour's drive away. Valdosta State University is comprised of two campus areas named the main campus and the north campus. The main campus is comprised of more than 80 buildings and covers some 168 acres of area.     Three doctoral degrees are available in Curriculum and Instruction, and Educational Leadership, Adult and Career Education.

    Admission Procedures:

    Students can apply for admission at NGCSU through the online forms. Freshmen should be below the age of 23. Application status can be checked online. Deadlines should be met, so that one does not miss the opportunity of applying at NGCSU. Students can apply for financial aid. International students will have to provide information on Visa, and health insurance. Students have to provide GED scores, along with SAT/ACT scores. International students have to provide TOEFL scores, bank statements and immunization records.

    Accommodation Facilities: Donovan, Lewis, Lewis Annex, Cleve's Crossing, Barlowe Road, Terrace Townhouses, and Owen hall are the residence halls at North Georgia College & State University. On-campus accommodation makes life for the students very easy and convenient in many ways. The rates are affordable and students are provided with meal plans also. Off-campus living is another option which the students can try but the accommodation has to be located by themselves. Apartments and lodges are some of the options that the students can try. The rates are generally cheap and can be afforded by the students.
